Amanda Cook is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She joined the practice in 2008 after completing her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Southern Adventist University.
Within the practice Amanda manages all skin diseases across the lifespan, including hair and nail disorders. She is skilled in skin cancer surgery along with non-cancer related skin surgeries and procedures. She collaborates with local NP and PA programs and routinely precepts students for their dermatology clinical hours.
As past President of Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice (CANAP), Amanda initiated new scholarship programs allowing funds for CME hours and doctoral studies for local nurse practitioners. She worked as a RN in the Emergency Department for six years after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Delta State University in 2002.
She resides in Chattanooga with her dog, Sonny.
